Alto at US National Championships

Congratulations to our 15 Alto athletes who represented the team at 2023 Phillips 66 National Championships! Alto Swim Club scored a total of 98 points at the meet with 5 athletes returning to represent the team in finals.

What is US National Championships?

US National Championships is exactly what the name implies! There is a single National Championship per year, held in either July or August during the long course season. Nationals represents the fastest open meet (open age) in the United States and is also consistently the fastest meet held world-wide, with the exception of US Olympic Team Trials which is the fastest meet in the world held once every 4 years. US Nationals is also used as a selection meet, where the US National Team is selected for various international meets (examples: selecting the US roster for World Championships).
