Fitness & Recreational Swim Groups
Our Alto Fitness and Recreation Program combines stroke development with an engaging practice environment geared towards healthy exercise and fitness. The training groups are competition-optional and our program is designed for swimmers with a range of swimming goals, including - working to join our competitive team, interest in swimming for fitness or cross training for a different sport. The Alto Fitness and Recreation Program has three groups - MiniFit, SwimFit and Varsity. Learn more about each program below
Fitness and Recreation Program
Minimum Entry Requirements: In order to attend a group placement, swimmers must be able to complete 1 length of the pool (25 yards) unassisted with a consistent stroke and in water of varying depth.
MiniFit
Ages: 8 & Under
MiniFit teaches the basic foundations for proper competitive swimming strokes while giving swimmers an introduction to practicing in a group environment. Coaches make learning fun! Coaches give specific technique feedback and work on stroke improvements, as well as swimming strength.

MiniFit 2 M/W/F from 3 - 3:45 PM
MiniFit 3 M/W/F from 3 - 4 PM
SwimFit
Ages: 9-11
SwimFit combines endurance, stroke technique and a fun group environment to ensure that all participants make big improvements. Swimmers develop the four competitive strokes, starts and turns while improving endurance through drills and kick work. Swimmers progress in skill and speed.

Varsity
Ages: 12 & Over
An engaging team environment with a specific focus on training, endurance and speed. This is a good fit for multi-sport and middle or high school athletes. Varsity swimmers train to improve technique and efficiency in the competitive strokes and build strength through intervals and kick work.
