Alto Swim Club to Host 2019 USA Swimming Summer Nationals & Junior Nationals

STANFORD, CA [June 2019] - Alto Swim Club is honored to be hosting USA Swimming's 2019 Phillips 66 National Championships and 2019 Speedo Junior National Championships. The Phillips 66 National Championships will be held at Stanford’s Avery Aquatic Center from July 31-August 4. The Speedo Junior National Championships will take place the following week, August 6-10.

Avery Aquatic Center is one of the premiere outdoor facilities in the world. It boasts two 50 meter pools, a 25 yard course and a diving well. The Avery Aquatic Center seats 2,530 spectators in its permanent grandstands that are utilized for NCAA dual meets and water polo competition.

This summer’s championship events will be contested in the adjacent 50-meter Belardi Pool where temporary grandstands, featuring reserved spectator seating, will be built to provide the best possible championship atmosphere for athletes and spectators. Alto Swim Club is the host team for 2019 US Nationals and Junior Nationals. Alto Swim Club began in the fall of 2018. The new team is a merge between Stanford Swimming and the former Cardinal Site of Palo Alto Stanford Aquatics.. Alto trains at the Avery Aquatic Center on the Stanford University campus, and at multiple other facilities in the Palo Alto area. The team’s mission is to offer the best developmental and high performance programs in the country.
