Alto Named One of ASCA’s Top 50 Age Group Teams in the Nation!

We are proud to share that Alto Swim Club has been named to the 2025 American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA) Top 50 Age Group Teams list!

This national honor recognizes the the continued development and performance of our athletes ages 10 to 14, and it’s a testament to the incredible work of our swimmers, coaches, and families!

This year, ASCA expanded its recognition to better reflect the impact of age group coaching across the country. Clubs were evaluated using athlete performance data provided by USA Swimming’s SWIMS database and ranked based on:

Total number of swimmers achieving AAA and AAAA+ time standards
Percentage of those swimmers relative to the size of the team

Using weighted standards and team-size categories, ASCA identified the top-performing clubs in each division. Alto was recognized in the Large Team category.

Building a Culture of Excellence
This recognition is a direct result of our coaching staff’s commitment to athlete development and the hard work of our swimmers. Over the past year, our Alto coaches have made continued investments in age group swimmer development, including:

Technical development as a core focus! Core skill and drill progressions for every age / group. Individualized technical feedback and stroke development. Use of video.

Training structure and training progression. Appropriate challenge for each age and level.

Coach collaboration and staff education, strengthening the consistency and quality of our training sessions across all groups and at every age.

Our 14 and unders have continued to improve across every metric. From time drops to technical execution, confidence on race day to team spirit in practice, the growth has been phenomenal!

We’re also proud of the leadership and mentorship provided by the Alto coaches. Their energy, professionalism, and passion have made Alto’s age group program a model for long-term athlete development.

Looking Ahead
We view this recognition not as a finish line, but a milestone. Our best swimming is ahead of us!
