Alto Coach Richie Barth Named to ASCA’s Top 25 Age Group Coaches of the Year!

We’re thrilled to share that Alto Coach Richie Barth has been named one of the Top 25 Age Group Coaches of the Year by the American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA)! This national honor recognizes the top coaches who are working with swimmers ages 10 - 14 years old across the country. Recognition is based on performance data from the 2024 long course and 2024 - 25 short course seasons.

Coach Richie is Alto's Head Age Group Coach. In addition to leading all aspects of the Age Group Program, he works directly with Age Group Gold and Age Group Silver. Coach Richie and has been instrumental in elevating our age group program since joining Alto in 2022. With over 13 years of coaching experience across Austria, Switzerland, and California, Richie brings a wealth of international knowledge and a passion for long-term athlete development.

In 2022, Coach Richie traveled the length of California to observe and learn from over 20 top club and college programs, an experience that continues to shape his thoughtful approach to coaching athletes at every age.
