Alto Makes Club History in the 2025 - 2026 Virtual Club Championships

The 2025-2026 Virtual Club Championship (VCC) season finished at the end of August. Alto had its best placement in club history this season, placing 25th nationally in Long Course Meters and 40th in the nation in Short Course Yards . Alto Swim Club is ranked 5th in Short Course Yards and 2nd in Long Course Meters in the Pacific Swimming LSC.

Way to go, swimmers and coaches! This placement is thanks to the hard work and dedication that you bring to practice and competition. Below is more information about The VCC, how scoring works, and what events are included in the rankings.

The VCC program aims to recognize clubs that develop athletes and achieve success at multiple levels of club swimming, as well as emphasize the team element of club swimming. This initiative plays a pivotal role in the Club Recognition Program, highlighting Athlete Development and Performance.

Age Group and Events

The following event results will be tabulated for both men and women:

  • 11 & 12-year-olds - 50 Fr, 100s of each stroke, 200 Free, 4/500 Free, 200 IM (8 events).

  • 13, 14, 15, 16, 17-18 year olds - All recognized Olympic events, not including 50s of stroke (14 events).

  • No relays will be scored.

Scoring

VCCs are scored for both Short Course Yards and Long Course Meters seasons, where all registered USA Swimming clubs participate and are automatically scored. Using the USA Swimming Star Times Database and the Hy-Tek Single-Year Age Group Power Points system, the program evaluates all age groups from 11-16 years old individually, including a combined 17-18 age group. After the Power Points system scores the individual eligible swims, these scores are calculated together to create a score for each swim club registered with USA Swimming.
