Greg Meehan

Head Coach, Alto Swim Club

Greg Meehan works primarily with the collegiate & post-graduate swimmers. 

Greg is the Head Coach of Stanford Women's Swimming and Diving. The three-time NCAA Swimming Coach of the Year has led Stanford to three consecutive national championships in 2017, 2018 and 2019. Greg has coached 29 different Cardinal swimmers to a combined 232 All-America honors, which includes 16 national championship relays and 23 individual national championships. Greg has led Stanford to a 47-4 dual meet record, including four undefeated regular seasons. 

In addition to his work with Stanford, Greg is also one of the premier coaches internationally. He is serving as the Head Coach for Team USA Women's Swimming and the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, and served in the same role at the 2017 and 2019 FINA World Championships. In 2016, Greg mentored three Olympians and one Paralympian, and served as an assistant coach for Team USA at the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janiero, Brazil. Greg has worked extensively with a number of Olympic and World Champions, including Katie Ledecky, Lia Neal, Simone Manuel and Maya DiRado. 

Prior to Stanford, Greg spent five seasons coaching with the Cal Men's Swimming & diving team. In Greg’s five seasons with Cal, the program produced a pair of NCAA championships (2011, 2012) and a runner-up finish in 2010. Prior to joining Cal's staff in 2008, Greg was the Head Coach for both the men's and women's programs at the University of the Pacific. Greg coached at Pacific from 2005-08, leading his women's team to a second-place finish at the Big West Conference Championships in 2006-07 and two fourth-place finishes.
