National and Professional Groups

Swimmers in the National and Professional Groups represent Alto Swim Club at the highest levels.

SENIOR 1
AGES: 13 AND OVER (MIDDLE SCHOOL)
Daily Training: 2.25 hours, 6+ sessions / week.
Group: Our top group for middle school swimmers. Swimmers demonstrate strong technical skills, a high level of focus, and readiness for increased training demands. Practices emphasize maintaining technique under pressure, race strategy, and championship-level performance.
Time Goals: National AAA, AAAA, Far Western, Sectionals, Junior Nationals.

SENIOR 2
AGES: 13 AND OVER (HIGH SCHOOL)
Daily Training: 3 hours, 8+ sessions / week.
Group: Swimmers demonstrate an advanced commitment to swimming and a readiness for increased training demands. 
Time Goals: Sectionals, Junior Nationals
Equipment: Team Equipment Page.


NATIONAL
AGES: 13 AND OVER (HIGH SCHOOL)
Daily Training: 3 hours, 9+ sessions / week.
Group: Swimmers train and compete at the highest levels. They have demonstrated a desire to reach their potential and a complete commitment to swimming.
Time Goals: Sectionals, Junior National, National, Olympic Trials, Olympic Games.

PROFESSIONAL

Alto Swim Club’s Professional Group is coached by the Stanford University Swimming and Diving Coaching Staff. Swimmers in this group are some of the world’s best athletes and represent ALTO at the highest levels, including World Championships and Olympic Games.
