USA Swimming Diversity and Inclusion

ALTO’s Senior and National groups had the opportunity to learn from USA Swimming Senior Director of Education and Programs MJ Truex and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Coordinator Ashanee Player. 

Swimmers were divided into breakout rooms and engaged in discussions led by some of the older swimmers on the team. The groups covered strategies for how to deal with situations where they may feel uncomfortable with word choices or actions of peers. Swimmers presented various ways in which they may utilize the strategies outlined in the workshop to manage difficult conversations.
