Maren Byrne and Coach Alec Scott Set to Represent Alto at USA Swimming National Girls Select Camp

We’re proud to announce that National Group swimmer Maren Byrne and Coach Alec Scott will represent Alto Swim Club at the USA Swimming National Girls Select Camp from January 23-26, 2025! Held at the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO, this prestigious camp is an incredible honor for both Maren, Coach Alec and our team.

Maren is one of only 52 swimmers nationwide invited to participate in this elite program. Her selection highlights her exceptional performances over the past year and her dedication to the sport.

The National Select Camp is designed to provide top USA Swimming athletes with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to learn, grow, and experience the routines of a National Team swimmer. The camp features:

  • In-water training: Five specialized workouts aimed at refining skills and techniques.

  • Educational sessions: Swimmers and coaches will cover topics like post-race recovery, nutrition, race strategy, mental training, and understanding drug and supplement regulations.

A unique aspect of this camp is the inclusion of a home coach track, allowing eligible coaches like Alec to accompany their athletes. This program offers coaches valuable educational opportunities, connections with USA Swimming staff, and the chance to collaborate with peers from across the country.
