8 Team Records at Winter Junior Nationals

Our National Group was making team history at Winter Junior Nationals, the highest-level short course championship in the United States for 18 & Under athletes.

Alto brought a roster of 9 athletes to the meet, and across the weekend this group rewrote the Alto record books, setting eight new team records against the deepest competition in the country:

  • 400 Free Relay (3:23.51) - Maren Byrne, Tanishi Gupta, Chloe Jiang, Hailey Preuss (15-18 girls)

  • 200 Breast (2:16.57) - Hailey Preuss (17-18 girls)

  • 200 Breast (2:00.68) - Baz Huang (17-18 boys)

  • 100 Fly (54.02) - Tanishi Gupta (15-16 girls)

  • 400 IM (4:19.83) - Hailey Preuss (17-18 girls)

  • 400 IM (4:14.67) - Maren Byrne (17-18 girls)

  • 100 Breast (55.18) - Baz Huang (17-18 boys)

  • 200 IM (1:59.62) - Maren Byrne (17-18 girls)
